Message from the Tri-Town CouncilPosted: 2010-01-08 17:26:00
Dear Ben,
On behalf of the Tri-Town Council and the PTO's of Boxford, Topsfield and Middleton, I am so very grateful for the wonderful evening you shared with our community last night. The positive feedback from so many in attendance has been overwhelming. Here is a quote from just one e-mail I received today "That was one of the most uplifting, energetic and hopeful programs I have attended in a long time. What timing to bring such a brilliant man to our town who inspires us, at the beginning of this new decade, to think in terms of possibility...at any given moment, in any given day." Her sentiments were echoed over and over again in e-mails and conversations I have had during the day.
It was a joy to be a member of the audience, to see eyes shining, to feel my heart fill with possibility and hope and most personally to have shared the experience with my family. My daughters are all radiating something newly discovered in themselves today and I am sure I began this day, and will try to begin every day, with a deeper and more conscious appreciation of what is possible for myself, my family and for this community.
Your message of hope, courage and the challenge for us to live in the realm of possibility was felt deeply by all those who attended. I do want to explore ways that we can continue to support and promote the message of Possibility within the schools and the community at large. I know the elementary school superintendent, Bernie Creeden, who you met last night is particularly interested in integrating the Practices outlined in the your book with school staff. We will be donating 24 copies of your book to the school district as a result of the proceeds we received from last night's sale. Any other ideas you have about ways to keep spreading the message will be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you again for your willingness to come to our district (especially during your vacation time :)), visiting with many staff during the reception, joyfully engaging with audience members, teaching us all to really sing Happy Birthday and for your generosity in sharing your visionary view of what is possible for all of us. It was a privilege to be present with you and one that I know will be valued and honor by all those who attended for a long time to come.
With gratitude and an appreciation for what is possible,
Warm regards,
Lisa
