Feedback from Mahler 9 Performance

 Dear Mr. Zander,

I have admired you as the conductor of the Boston Philharmonic for many
years. But your and your orchestra's performance last Thursday was
particularly extraordinary. I don't expect I will ever hear Mahler's 9th
Symphony played in a more profound and earth-shattering way than you did
last Thursday. As you must have noticed after the concert, the earth
reacted with such force that it was almost impossible to leave Sander's
Theater without being drowned and blown away by the hurricane. This was
clearly all your doing.
